Napoli

Naples, the capital of Southern Italy, the city of Vesuvius, the home of pizza, the protégé of San Gennaro is difficult to tell. There are too many nuances, details, contradictions to take into account. It is no coincidence, therefore, that to try to understand the city we turn more often to art, poetry and music. For example, to the very famous “Napul è” by Pino Daniele, a song that alone is worth thousands of books dedicated to the city. In short, Naples is a challenge. Above all, Naples is beautiful. Rather than telling you about it, then, we can only recommend some things to do for a first approach to the city.
The Quartieri Spagnoli, Spaccanapoli, Forcella, and the Sanità are all beautiful places worth delving into to discover their hidden treasures.

Underground Naples

Not far away, in Piazza San Gaetano, is the entrance to “Underground Naples,” the most famous (not the only) underground route in Naples. Added: Procida, pearl of the Gulf of Naples, is the Italian Capital of Culture 2022. For the first time it is an island to win the coveted nomination. Merit for a poetic and structured cultural project, but also for its timeless charm. Looking forward to its starring year, let’s discover together the wonders of Procida-where it is located, what to see and what to do-in this itinerary from Terra Murata to Corricella.

The Carthusian Monastery of San Martino is a palatial area of Naples located on the Vomero hill, next to castel Sant’Elmo. It constitutes by far one of the largest religious monumental complexes in the city and one of the most successful examples of Baroque architecture and art along with the royal chapel of the Treasure of St. Gennaro, as well as a fulcrum of Neapolitan painting in the seventeenth century
